We are extremely pleased to announce that a return to Le Mans for the 2012 Moto GP is in the early stages of planning and looking good. Last year's event was a huge success and everyone had a fantastic time from the ride down to Le Mans, the camping experience, GP itself and the return trip, not to mention the social side!!

The main race day is Sun 20th May and we will follow a similar format to last year's event with hopefully even more riders attending. We will aim to camp at the 'Garage Vert' campsite for the duration and your ticket will include campsite usage which is immediately outside the circuit. Below is an outline itinery with specific timings to follow; these will be known when the ferry tickets are booked but shouldn't be that much of a change from our previous trip:

 

Sun 13 May: Briefing for Le Mans 2012 at RAF Odiham Main Briefing Room

Thu 17 May: Depart Odiham 0730 from my house, 22 Wessex Ave

Thu 17 May: Ferry to Calais arriving at Le Mans approx 1700

Fri 18 May: Ride-out somewhere nice for lunch / Free practice sessions

Sat 19 May: Qualifying sessions / Ride-out / Circuit walk

Sun 20 May: Race day

Mon 21 May: Depart Le Mans for Calais arriving at Odiham approx 1800

 

 

If you are interested in coming along, please go now to the Le Mans Moto GP section on the forum and put down your name, bike make and model, and reg number; your mobile number can be sent via private email or see OB at one of the OMCC meetings. OB will need a deposit of just £50 to secure your place and the bookings will close from the end of March 2012 so make sure to send your bid in early to avoid disappointment!
